Paleo Ranch Dressing

My Paleo ranch dressing tastes so much like the ranch from my childhood, but without the processed, chemical-filled ingredients. Perfect if you're paleo or simply if you're looking for a healthier alternative to ranch dressing.

To say that I was excited to finally recreate an easy, tasty and creamy Paleo ranch dressing is an understatement. My version tastes so much like the ranch from my childhood, but has none of the processed, chemical-filled ingredients that the bottled ranch does. Wooo hooo!!!

Easy Paleo Ranch is also Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free and Whole30 compliant.

You are going to be surprised to read that that my easy Paleo ranch dressing is gluten-free, dairy-free, Whole30 compliant and literally takes 5 minutes to blend up. Simply throw the ingredients into a blender (like a Vitamix) or food processor and blend until smooth. Add a handful or two of fresh parsley, pulse a couple of times and voila – Paleo ranch dressing is ready to go!

I think you will love the tangy zip you get from the coconut milk base and dash of apple cider vinegar. Want a little creamier texture? Stir in a tablespoon or two of mayo (I like the Primal Kitchen brand). You can also add up to a teaspoon of dill for a little extra zing!

My favorite ways to serve easy Paleo ranch dressing are:

  1. As a veggie dip. Any veggies really…broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, celery, snap peas, you name it!
  2. With a chopped salad.
  3. Stirred into egg yolks for Paleo ranch dressing deviled eggs or egg salad.
  4. As a dip for roasted veggies or fries.
  5. Drizzled on top of a Meatza for that classic pizza and ranch flavor!
  6. Served with chicken wings and celery.

Give this creamy, non-dairy, Paleo ranch dressing a try! I promise you won't turn to the bottle again. 🙂

I made a short video on how to make paleo ranch if you'd like more tips!

What is the nutrition like for this Paleo Ranch Dressing?

Unlike most bottled salad dressings, my homemade paleo ranch dressing uses only ingredients you can actually feel good about. No low quality oils, no sugar, no weird chemicals. Just real, whole foods, coming together in a super tasty dip or salad dressing. Here are some of the nutritional highlights:

Olive Oil (Vitamin E, Vitamin K, Monounsaturated Fats, Antioxidants)

Due to the type of fat it contains, olive oil may reduce inflammation. It also reduces the risk of Alzheimer's, stroke and heart disease. Make sure to get high quality extra virgin olive oil, as it retains more antioxidants and nutrients.

Garlic (Beneficial Sulfur Compounds, Manganese, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Selenium)

Garlic has been used in homeopathic remedies for thousands of years and is thought to reduce the risk of heart disease, high cholesterol and some types of cancer. Eating garlic may also help prevent colds and other minor illnesses.

Scientists believe these substantial health benefits may stem primarily from garlic's sulfur compounds such as allicin, diallyl disulfide and sallyl cysteine.

Coconut Milk (Manganese, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Selenium, Potassium, Vitamin C, Folate)

Made of the white flesh of coconuts mixed with water, coconut milk is high in manganese, copper, iron, magnesium and selenium. It's also a good source of potassium, vitamin C and folate. Some studies have shown that coconut helps to reduce inflammation, fight bacteria and viruses and fight stomach ulcers.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is anecdotally believed to have all sorts of benefits. Two of those benefits best supported by science are its ability to help stabilize blood sugar and to aid in weight loss. Apple cider vinegar also has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties.

Parsley (Calcium, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K)

Parsley is packed with calcium, vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin K. This herb is great for your immune system, eye health, bone health, heart health and blood sugar levels – pretty much everything!

I want more homemade salad dressing recipes!

You've come to the right place. I'm a big believer in homemade salad dressings, both because of taste and nutrition. They're also super quick and easy to throw together, making them 100% worth it in my book. Here are just a few of my favorite homemade salad dressing recipes:

Southwestern Steak Salad

Paleo Salsa Ranch

Want another version of homemade paleo ranch? This paleo salsa ranch is SO flavorful! It's made with a mix of avocado mayo and lite coconut milk, in addition to salsa and spices. I love this one on steak salad, but it's also delicious as a healthy homemade veggie dip or healthy creamy salad dressing on a basic green salad.

Lemon Herb Vinaigrette

Lemon Herb Vinaigrette

If you're looking for a vinaigrette instead of a creamy salad dressing, my lemon herb vinaigrette is an excellent choice. It's so bright from the fresh lemon and herbs and is quite versatile in terms of the type of salad you use it on.

Maple Apple Cider Vinaigrette

If you favor sweet salad dressings, maple apple cider vinaigrette in this post is a delicious option. It's naturally sweetened with pure maple syrup and perfectly balanced with the addition of apple cider vinegar. This one is perfect for fall and winter salads.
