Content & Newsletter Writer
Work-from-home, contractor position, 5-10 hours per week
Primary duty:
Create engaging newsletters and blog posts for our meal planning service, focusing on connecting with busy moms and driving conversions to our meal plans.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Content & Newsletter Writer to develop compelling newsletters and SEO-friendly blog posts that resonate with our target audience of busy moms. This role combines creativity, writing expertise, and basic SEO knowledge to craft content that promotes Prep Dish’s mission of simplifying mealtime.
Responsibilities Include:
- Writing and editing weekly newsletters (1 customer and 1 free newsletter per week).
- Creating SEO-friendly blog posts to drive traffic (~2-4 per month).
- Conducting basic keyword research using tools like Keywords Everywhere and SEMrush.
- Collaborating with the team quarterly to align on content strategy.
- Using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to assist with drafts while ensuring all content is in Prep Dish’s voice and meets high-quality standards.
- Maintaining a mix of evergreen content and fresh, relevant ideas aligned with Prep Dish’s goals.
- Option to help with testing healthy, tasty Prep Dish recipes 🙂
To be successful in this role, you should have strong writing skills, a background in newsletters or content writing, and a good understanding of meal planning and nutrition. Familiarity with AI tools and basic SEO principles is a plus.

- Familiarity with SEO basics (training available).
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Experience with email marketing and writing newsletters.
- Experience with online marketing a plus.
- Experience with affiliate marketing a plus.
- Experience with WordPress a plus.
- Knowledge of AI tools for writing and editing a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in content creation, newsletters, or blogging.
