Maple Roasted Grapefruit takes this nutrient packed fruit to the next level. This is such a simple, elegant addition to a healthy brunch.
Broiling grapefruit brings out a whole new layer of flavors and complexity and takes an ordinary breakfast to extraordinary and elegant. This recipe can also make for a delicious and fresh dessert. Try sprinkling on chopped mint or basil and serving at a dinner party.
Maple Roasted Grapefruit
Ingredients
- 2 whole grapefruit, cut in half across the segments (stem end to the right of the knife)
- 3-4 Tbsp Maple Syrup (or honey)
Instructions
- Preheat broiler.
- Cut grapefruit in half across the segments (stem end to the right of the knife) and loosen segments with a knife.
- Top flesh sides of grapefruit each with 1-2 Tbsp of maple syrup. Broil 8-10 minutes until golden brown on top. Serve immediately.
