AAAHHHH, fall. I love all of the flavors that the season brings; especially all of the squashes! Not only tasty, the colors and shapes are gorgeous and so unique. But this can bring some challenges when it comes to chopping. One of the most frequent questions I get is how to chop butternut squash. The long neck and ball shaped bottom don't lend themselves to easy chopping do they?
I am here to help with a quick video tutorial on how to chop a butternut squash. My method is quick and easy, and yields a gorgeous dice. You will need a good chef's knife for my method. If you don't have one, here are two that I recommend:
Wusthof classic santuko, 5″: https://amzn.to/1nXVlhS
Shun santuko, 7″: https://amzn.to/1nXVy4G
Need some inspo on what to do with all of your chopped squash? It's perfect to use in my butternut squash muffins!
