10 Paleo Soup Recipes
1. Turkey Taco Soup
Turkey taco soup is one of our recipes that always shows up on our subscriber favorite lists. It's protein-packed and is such a family-friendly recipe.
If you have kiddos or a crowd to feed, I definitely recommend setting up a toppings bar. Diced bell peppers, green onions, chopped avocado or shredded cheese for the non-paleo eaters – so many delicious choices!
2. Dairy Free Chicken Pot Pie Soup
Have you tried cooking with cashew cream?
It's an incredibly simple way to add a decadent creaminess with no dairy. All you do is soak raw cashews in hot water for 20 minutes and blend until smooth. So simple!
That creaminess in combination with classic chicken pot pie flavors makes this soup the ultimate paleo comfort food.

3. Red Pepper Soup with Sweet Potatoes
Gluten free, dairy free, paleo, vegan – this soup checks all the boxes! Most importantly though, it's completely delicious.
This one freezes really well too so make a double batch and store half in your freezer for that night you get stuck at work or soccer practice runs late and you don't have time to make dinner.
To complete the meal, add a simple green salad or some roasted chicken thighs and dinner is done!
4. Chicken & Cauliflower Chowder
This chowder is another one with a great creamy texture, no dairy required. It gets its creaminess from coconut milk and has the best hit of salty, savory deliciousness from the addition of bacon.
If you have trouble finding paleo friendly bacon, I definitely recommend Butcher Box – it's where I get mine and it's not only healthier, it's SO much tastier! (Prep Dish is a Buther Box affiliate. Thank you for your support!)
5. Classic Chicken Vegetable Soup
Chicken Vegetable soup is one of our all-time most popular recipes…and I think I know why.
It combines all of the classic, nostalgic flavor from the childhood favorite, but with totally clean ingredients. The lemon and fresh parsley add such a fresh brightness.
If you want to take it to the next level, I highly recommend making homemade broth! This is something I do on the regular and once you get in the habit of making it, it's super easy.
6. Sweet Potato & Pear Soup
I'm a big fan of pureed soups. There's an elegant simplicity about them that just makes me happy.
This one is the perfect balance of sweet from the sweet potatoes and pears and savory from the garlic, onion and ginger. How good does that sound?
Pureed soups like this one are also perfect for the freezer! You can freeze a whole batch but I also love freezing individual servings to grab for an easy lunch when I want something cozy.
7. Pizza Soup
The name pretty much says it all for this one – all of that great pizza flavor, but in a healthy soup!
You can mix it up and add your own personal favorite pizza toppings, this recipe is flexible.
Pizza soup makes the perfect dinner served alongside a zesty Italian salad.
8. Slow Cooker Beef & Vegetable Stew
There is nothing cozier or more warming than beef and vegetable stew.
My beef and vegetable stew is designed for the slow cooker to keep your life simple! Prefer the Instant Pot? You'll find instructions for making it in the Instant Pot as well.
Like all of our recipes, this stew is meal prep friendly. You can chop everything ahead of time so all you have to do is toss in the slow cooker in the morning!
9. Thai Coconut Curry Soup
Thai curry paste combined with coconut milk gives this soup so much creamy delicious flavor.
The recipe is also super flexible. Use green or red curry paste, whatever you prefer. Cook the recipe as written with chicken or sub shrimp or pork. Add your favorite veggies to really make it your own!
10. Mexican Pork Stew
To wrap things up, I have one more hearty slow cooker stew for you. This one is specifically designed as a freezer meal. I'm a big believer in having a well-stocked freezer. It's one of the very best ways to ensure you can always have a healthy, home cooked meal on the table.
Things come up and there is no better feeling than knowing you're prepared.

I'm here for you! First I want to remind you that you can try our meal plans, including a weekly paleo meal prep meal plan, for free here! I also want to share these two articles:
How to Craft a Weekly Paleo Meal Plan: I share my tips for Paleo newbies or those wanting a more consistent meal planning process. This includes plenty of nitty gritty details on how to actually make an effective meal plan and meal planning tips I've gained over the years.
How to Start Meal Prepping: In my experience, meal prepping is the number one best way to stick to healthy eating. Don't feel bad if you don't have the energy to cook a from-scratch dinner every night after work or after a day of chasing toddlers around. It's not just you, the expectation is simply too high! But what you can do is spend a bit of time on Saturday morning or Monday night prepping food for the week. This is so much more efficient and, once you get the hang of it, you'll never go back!
