Egg Free Paleo Breakfasts

These egg free breakfast ideas are perfect for those mornings when you want a balanced breakfast, but aren't in the mood for eggs. From sweet to savory, we've got your egg free Paleo breakfast needs covered!

What to do for breakfast? Eggs are always an easy fix. You can poach, fry, scramble or omelet them to make a hearty, delicious breakfast. The big question is, what to do when you need a little break from all the eggs, especially when you're following a gluten free or paleo diet? The challenge becomes real!

We've got you covered with some of our tried and true egg free, paleo and gluten free friendly breakfasts!

Gluten Free & Paleo Smoothies:

Smoothies are one of my go-to egg free breakfasts because you can pack in SO much produce. Think outside the box on this one and don't be afraid to toss in some greens, cauliflower, zucchini or carrots. Smoothies don't have to be all fruit!

When making a smoothie, I also try to think about protein and healthy fats. I know that a super sweet, high carb smoothie won't make me feel my best or keep me satisfied all morning.

Avocado, coconut milk, nut butters, chia seeds and ground flax are excellent ways to add healthy fats to a smoothie. Adding nuts and seeds is also a great way to include some plant-based protein. If your smoothie is lower in protein, just make sure to have a handful of nuts or a side of bacon to round out the meal!

Smoothies are definitely something you can play around with (they're a great way to use up leftover produce!), but here are a few of my favorite concoctions to get you started:

1. Tropical Green Smoothie

The avocado may seem like an unexpected addition to this tropical smoothie but I promise you can't taste it. It gives the smoothie a totally creamy consistency without any dairy. The other green ingredient? Fresh spinach! Including greens in smoothies is an excellent way to to encourage picky kids to eat some green. Let them help toss a few handfuls into the blender and show them how tasty it can be!

2. Purple Haze Smoothie Bowl

My love for bowl meals doesn't exclude breakfast – smoothie bowls mean I can pile on the toppings! If you want to eat rather than drink your breakfast, or you're looking for a bit more texture than a typical smoothie offers, give my purple haze smoothie bowl a try. The combination of coconut milk and frozen cauliflower make this super creamy. It gets its beautiful color from blueberries. This one is full of superfoods!

3. Chocolate Cherry Decadence Smoothie Bowl

Chocolate and cherries for breakfast? Enough said. While this might sound too decadent for a healthy breakfast, I promise, it's totally nourishing and won't lead to a sugar crash. All of the sweetness comes from cherries, no extra sugar needed. Plus, it has collard greens. What better way to start the day?

4. Strawberry Mojito Smoothie

The hint of mint and lime take this strawberry smoothie to a whole new level. This one is sweetened with dates and gets a healthy dose of fats and protein from the almond butter. It's a totally refreshing, satisfying breakfast perfect for grownups and kiddos alike!

5. Mixed Berry Green Smoothie

With only 3 ingredients, my mixed berry green smoothie is as simple as they come. It's perfect for those rushed mornings or times when your fridge is looking bare. Pro tip? Whenever you have bananas looking a little past their prime, peel them, break into chunks and store in the freezer. That way you'll always have some ready to go for smoothies!

6. Mango Blackberry Peanut Butter Smoothie

Zucchini is the secret ingredient in this one. Again, I promise you won't taste it, it simply adds a healthy vitamin kick to your breakfast. Drink up!

Egg Free Paleo Breakfast Hash Recipes:

A good breakfast hash is another favorite in my home. This is such a satisfying breakfast and, again, an excellent way to use up any extra veggies or meat. While I do frequently enjoy adding an egg on top of my hash, you definitely don't need to – there is plenty of protein in both of these recipes without the egg!

7. Sweets, Beets & Kale Breakfast Hash

Do you love a sweet and savory combo? I find it so satisfying. The sweet potatoes in this otherwise savory hash give just the right note of sweetness to make it irresistible. Simply omit the egg on top to keep this one egg free.

8. Moroccan Hash

If you haven't yet tried the Moroccan spice blend included in this recipe, you're in for a treat! It's seriously good on everything. Leaving the egg off of this one is no problem, there is still plenty of protein from the ground lamb to make it super filling and satisfying.

Other Egg Free Breakfast Ideas:

The below egg free breakfast ideas don't fit neatly into any particular category but I promise you they're all delicious! One of my goals is to help our subscribers stick to their clean eating goals without ever feeling deprived. Love granola but don't want a high carb sugary breakfast? You got it. Love oatmeal but don't eat grains? No problem! I love a good challenge and experimenting with recipes to find the perfect nutritious alternative to foods people love is one of my favorite challenges to take on.

9. Paleo “Oatmeal”

If you're totally grain free or, like me, oats don't agree with you, this grain free porridge (or “noatmeal” as I like to call it) is a must. It's super warm and satisfying, perfect for a fall or winter morning. I love it with apples and pecans, but the topping choices are pretty limitless. If you want to keep the toppings low carb, make sure to check out my post on which fruits are the lowest in carbs. Watch me make this one here!

10. Grain Free Granola

Whether you're Paleo or just looking for a lower carb granola, my grain free cherry vanilla granola is a great choice. The chopped nuts and dried fruit mimic the irresistible crunch of granola and it's packed with protein and healthy fats. Watch my YouTube video here to hear more about this recipe!

11. Blueberry Chia Pudding

Have you tried chia pudding? The texture is a bit hard to describe, but it's kind of similar to a yogurt breakfast, without the dairy! You can load it up with your favorite fruits or hey, even top it with some grain free granola! This would be really fun to include on a brunch menu alongside some yogurt with various toppings. Anything where people can build their own is always a hit!
